A reflection of the relationship between man and nature; one that feels increasingly estranged. In looking to explore how truly coexisting/living with nature in the daily life would look, it became clear that my design would not be human focused, it would need to exist in less of a “product” context, and more of an aspirational one, offering a commentary as to this relationship needing to be mended. This piece is two fold — a coffee table I designed, then dedicated almost entirely to the growth of native plants within it, in the home. While this is not something most people would actually want, the intention is to offer the ability to consider how one approaches their relationship to the land around them.
